Dr. Skolout

Dr. Skolout realizes how important a connection with nature is for well-being. She has experienced how an active lifestyle can greatly improve health. She has a passion for developing realistic ways to add exercise and outdoor activities into busy schedules.

 

Dr. Skolout attended the University of Colorado where she received honors degrees in psychology, biology, and neuroscience. While in college, she worked for a community health center, where she discovered naturopathic medicine.

 

She attended Bastyr University and received her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree in 2008. While in school, she focused her training on primary care medicine, pediatrics, pain management and physical medicine. One of the favorite parts of her training was an internship at Little Bit Therapeutic Riding Center where she helped children with disabilities ride horses for therapeutic benefit.

 

Dr. Skolout has practiced in Colorado Springs and Vail, Colorado, and served as an adjunct instructor at Colorado Mountain College. She has taught continuing medical education courses and serves on the Alternative Medicine Committee for the Franciscan Health System in Washington. She maintains a focus on family medicine, including diagnosis, natural and conventional treatments

 

She is a licensed naturopathic physician and is covered as a primary care provider under most insurance plans. Dr. Skolout is happily accepting new patients of all ages. She looks forward to working with you on your journey to optimal health.
